Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, the Hilton Queenstown Resort and Spa is a haven for those wanting to relax away from the pressures of everyday life.
Stunning views, and a full range of the amenities expected of a Hilton property make this a very special holiday escape.
Location: Kawarau Village, 79 Peninsula Rd Queenstown
The Hilton Queenstown Resort and Spa occupies a prime position on the shores of Lake Wakatipu.
Offering stunning views, and easy access to and from Queenstown Airport and the shopping precincts of Five Mile and Remarkables Park, this is a perfect base from which to explore Queenstown and the Southern Lakes.
From the airport, it's a little over 3 kilometres to the Hilton, or around 5 minutes drive. The resort does not offer a shuttle but there's a good range of options from the airport including taxis, Uber and private shuttles.
The Queenstown town centre is around 10 kilometres drive away, or for something different, you can catch a water taxi into town from the Hilton.
If you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, in a relaxed, luxurious setting, the Hilton Queenstown Resort and Spa is just the place.
Luxurious guestrooms, suites, and spacious 1 and 2 bedroom residences, are beautifully appointed. With everything you need to make your stay a memorable one, here's a place where you can sleep in late, or rise early and stroll along the lakeside, taking in those awesome views.
The fitness centre, indoor pool and spa are world class, with a range of treatments available.
There's a couple of great dining options in Stacks for hearty pub food, and the gourmet delights of Wakatipu Grill. If you're feeling a little lazy, room service is a great option.
The water taxi into central Queenstown is a fuss free way to get to town, and to see Queenstown from a different viewpoint.
There's also a couple of on site parking options that are cheaper than some of the other hotels in town.
Reviews are generally very positive, with only the occasional concern about service levels.
The relative isolation from the town centre, means that it's a bit of a drive to get into the bars, pubs and restaurants of central Queenstown. Be prepared to pay for your parking in town, as free parking is very hard to find.
The resort has an excellent range of room types, and the ever popular lake view rooms are our choice.
There's "Guestrooms", "Suites", one and two bedroom "Residences", and a beautiful "Relaxation Room" which has it's own deck and private hot tub, overlooking the lake. Can you feel the serenity?
Anything with a lake view sells out fast, so if you intend on staying here, get in and book early to avoid disappointment.

Queenstown's increasing popularity as a holiday resort means that early holiday planning is essential. Accommodation here can be booked out months in advance, and we regularly hear of people unable to book their desired hotel during the peak times like the winter ski season (running from late June to October), our summer (from December to February), local long weekends, and even during our New Zealand school holidays.
So please, do some early research, and check Hilton availability here.
You can check availability for a huge range of Queenstown accommodation here.
